Sound Of Thunder Sponsorship! – July Update
Castle Group Ltd Press Release - Wed, August 6 2008…raising awareness outside the factory…
Update on Racer sponsored by Scarborough Health and Safety Company!
Health and Safety sponsored motorbike racer, Nick Gledhill stormed through the field on his Honda 125CC at Mallory Park, Leicestershire on 27th July putting him in site of a top 10 championship finish! Safety and Environment firm, Castle Group ltd, who sponsor the Dawtune team, are keen to raise awareness of health and safety issues in this highly dangerous sport.

Despite a disappointing qualifying session putting Nick seventeenth on the starting grid he managed to get off to a good start making up a row on the first corner putting him up to 14th place. As the race went on he kept plugging away and got up to 12th. In the last few laps of the race a couple of the front markers came off no one was hurt thankfully but it was good news for Nick as he finished with a 10th position out of a grid of 22. This result has moved him up to 13th in the championship. He is now looking forward to a good race in the next round at Pembry which could put him in the top ten.
Simon Bull, Managing Director of Castle Group said, “I measured the noise at the event with the GA215 Pocket sound meter and got peak readings of over 124dB, but perhaps worse, the average noise levels were well in excess of the noise at work regulations limit value. This is just one example of health and safety issues being of vital importance in this industry.”
