Castle’s COSHH Competence Course!

NEW COSHH & Air Sampling Competence Course

There is now a brand new ‘Competent Person’ course available covering COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations, Air Sampling and Gas Detection designed specifically for Health and Safety Professionals. Specialist Technical Safety Company, Castle Group Ltd of Scarborough is running these 3 day courses in May and November in Scarborough to offer a more practical approach the whole subject.

With a good balance of theory and practical 'hands-on' experience, candidates will leave the course with a solid understanding issues related to air sampling and the COSHH regulations. Simon Bull, Managing Director of Castle said, "We understand that many Safety People in industry faced with handling COSHH compliance really want to get on with the job and need the practical tools to start making assessments right away. That is our goal with this course".

The course will take each delegate through the principles of the regulations and of sampling; will look at the medical impact of exposure to various substances and will look in detail at the practical implications. With two practical sessions and overall assessment based upon a work-based project, completed after the course, the thrust is on getting people straight into risk assessing and solving problems.

It's not all work either, with an all-inclusive 'ice-breaker' dinner at a local restaurant on the first night of the course. You will be wined and dined in style and given the chance to get to know the other delegates, which can often be a good networking exercise as well as a lot of fun!
