The MW401 Weatherproof Microphone Unit is the ideal windshield for monitoring long or short term outdoor environmental noise. Combined with the Pro-DX Vocis, KA018 Weatherproof Case and suitable cable the MW401 protects the microphone from the elements.

The unit comes complete with windshield, housing, and pre-amplifier for use with Pro-DX Vocis noise meters.

The housing also includes a dehumidifier unit the further protect the microphone from humidity in the air. A small window in the dehumidifier allows the humidity level to be controlled.

The design incorporates a foam windshield with enlarged internal cavity to allow for moisture escape, a tough wire frame complete with bird-spikes to avoid bird noise and a combined microphone holder, pre-amp, dehumidifier and tripod mount.
