Hanging Scales – What are they and why are they used?

Hanging scales are used on gantries, cranes and any other type of suspended structure to allow easy lifting and weighing of an item that is either very large, an unusual shape or difficult to move to a fixed weighing scale. Rechargeable batteries make the hanging scales fully portable and the large LED display plus remote control operation allows for use from a distance.
