This is the SM930 Screening Audiometer which has been designed to be easy to use while being a more feature packed audiometer. The audiometer has been designed to store 83 different hearing tests and so can be used numerous times before data is transferred to printout and filed. It has a modern design and technology which allows it to give solid tones which are free of distortion and insensitive to temperature fluctuations. You can perform hearing tests automatically or manually, having 4 automatic tests with individual threshold tests.
There is an aluminium cabinet which provides a neat product and at the same time is very sturdy and protects in the best way against any environmental influences from other electronic equipment; as aluminium protects against electromagnetic interference.
The audiometer has a storage capacity of 83 audiograms that may be stored for later printout and transfer to a patient file. In the internal memory the recorded values are stored and kept even if the unit is switched off.
The device automatically selects the correct symbols for the left or the right ear when you are printing or transferring data to a computer. You can also choose automatic or manual transfer/printing. If you require a printout you may perform it just after a finished test or you can wait until later, when it is convenient as it can store all of your values.
When you are carrying out the test you can follow the results on the screen in two ways: each time you press the DATA button, or automatically by using one of the set-up functions. All of the functions are controlled by an advanced microprocessor which offers stability and durability. There is a built-in tone generator which is crystal driven and avoids distortion and makes it insensitive to temperature fluctuations.
This kit is supplied with a headset, a response button and a carry case.
