Castle Sonus GA216I Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter
The Castle SONUS range of pocket sized sound level meters bring simplicity and power to the worlds of Noise at Work and Environmental sound monitoring. From a basic sound pressure meter to full data-logging, combined sound and dosemeter, the range of systems covers a wide diversity of applications.
The Castle SONUS GA216I is a feature packed instrument that is fully compliant with IEC 61672-1:2002 Class 2, IEC 60651: 1979 Type 2 and IEC 60804: 2001 Type 2. This meter gives simultaneous Leq (rms. average) and peak measurement for assessments to the Noise at Work Regulations 1989. It has a high-specification measurement microphone and is cased in tough, crack resistant ABS plastic.
Features
- Integrated equivalent level (Leq) measurement
- Personal Sound Exposure Level (LEpd)
- Sound Pressure (Lp) to 0.1 dB resolution
- 'A' and 'C' frequency weighting (toggle)
- 'Slow' and 'Fast' Time weighting (toggle)
- Simultaneous measurement of Lp, Lmax, and Cpeak
- Lmax - maximum Lp hold (rms.)
- Cpeak - maximum peak level
- Elapsed time (running time hrs, min, sec)
- Single Event Sound Exposure Level (LAE)
- Overload and Under-range indication
- Battery condition (Life approx. 12 hours)
Castle GA257B Industrial Pocket Dosemeter
The GA257B was designed to be powerful and easy to use. They are small and tough so measurements and data can be collected throughout the working period. Data can then be reviewed on screen or can be downloaded to a PC for further analysis. It is a dedicated basic dosemeter which is fully compliant with IEC 61252:1993 and gives simultaneous sound exposure (Lep’d) and maximum peak (Zpeak) measurements, an essential feature for Noise at Work Regulations assessments.
They have a clear display which allows data to be read on screen. You can lock the keypad in order to prevent any measurements being accidently stopped or altered. The data is stored on flash memory at user selected intervals. There is built in software which has been designed to suit future upgrading for feature enhancements, legislative changes or instrument upgrades.
Castle GA601 Single Level Class 2 Sound Meter Calibrator
The GA601 produces a calibration tone of 1000Hz at a level of 94dB re 20 µPa at the microphone and it is supplied with a ½" cavity. It provides accurate, stable and simple to use sound source for carrying out the acoustic calibration of a wide range of sound level meters. This Class 1 Acoustic Calibrator was designed to be rugged and long lasting and it has proved this. It produces two levels, 94dB and 104dB. The calibrator is switch operated, which engages the selected sound source for one minute, after which it automatically turns off.
